Founded in 2004, Merit Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (MTSB) delivers advanced, field-proven solutions for the repair, maintenance, and protection of offshore and onshore pipelines and production systems. Merit Technologies’ early success was built on the design, manufacture, and installation of epoxy metal clamps for pipes, risers, and conductors, alongside fibre-reinforced polymer systems for insulation protection, pipe supports, pre-insulated pipelines, and tank linings. This deep, hands-on experience across both metallic and composite technologies laid the foundation for a new generation of repair solutions—combining the structural reliability of metal with the versatility and durability of advanced composites.

In 2013, this expertise culminated in the development of the Helicoid® Epoxy Sleeve, a proprietary, fully composite repair system engineered in-house to address the unique challenges of offshore splash-zone environments. First installed offshore Thailand in 2015, the Helicoid® Epoxy Sleeve has since demonstrated its effectiveness as a robust, long-term solution for riser and conductor repair.
